LYNX CONNECT App Reviews

This app work well with the Lynx Touch panel but will only work locally. When at home, it makes it easier to control the system rather than on the panel. When pairing was easy, note to follow instructions to ensure panel is in the right menu to accept. For control outside the home, you will need the Totalconnect 2.0 app which requires you to sign up with an affiliated monitoring system even if you only want self monitoring.

The instructions for connecting are incorrect for the L7000 panel can make initial connection.

Does not work at all, Ive tried to connect to the control panel but it does not connect at all. They just want you dollar for their profits. Dont waste your time with this app that does not work. I have the 5200

Will not connect to home panel through wifi. Waste of money!

Have a 5200 unit and was connected in seconds with very clear instructions and screen shots. It has complete functionality of the touch screen, but only on wifi, so no remote control if not on your home wifi. If it worked through cell data connection I would have given it the last star.

You can only access your Lynx l7000 locally. Limited features. Why would you need this when Honeywell total connect offers a free app? Plus it never connects. Can you give zero stars?

I was looking for a use for an older iPad that I had, and wanting a 2nd panel that was more useful than the basic Z-Wave panel that connects to my Lynx 7000, so I tried this app. It works well so far, and I have my old iPad mounted semi-permanently on the main level, which is ideal. It is definitely for the local LAN, though, so dont expect it to work remotely...

Only drawback is that you cannot access settings from your iOS device. Otherwise, it functions very similarly to the touchscreen on the control panel. Its much more responsive (quicker) than the TotalConnect App. I have two security systems at my property. This app would be 5 stars if I could switch between the two like the TotalConnect App allows. I need to be able use a single device to control each of these systems.

Doesnt work with aironet access points. Both have strong signals...app just spins. No manual option. No customer support...you need to purchase that separately. This along with all new Honeywell apps are poor software pushed to market to quickly.

No set up instructions for the l7000 model.

This app does not work correctly all of the time. After 4 different phones, resetting and reinstalling the app, the phone just reads "connecting to control panel" and nothing happens. This is with iOS 8.4. Since it is a virtual keypad, panic buttons would be nice to toggle near the home button. If the app spoke as well, I would have rated this one higher.

Dont upgrade if you have more than one AP Name. I.e. One ssid for 2.4 and one ssid for 5ghz it wont let you connect from the other ssid as the ssid. For some odd reason it checks the names to make sure that they are the same.

Was Working great as a second panel. However with the latest app update, it will no longer find my control panel. It just waits on the discovering control panel screen. So in essence it no longer functions and is hence useless.

Can no longer connect to the panel. Very disappointing. I use the app frequently every day, now I cannot.

Stopped connecting after update.

Newest update with iOS 9 loses sync to panel. Not functional app now.

Wont connect to panel after update. :update. Delete app and reinstall. Looks like they fixed the issue.

The app is still broken and will not discover the control panel.

Wifi will not connect thru app, despite that the L5200 is on wifi and visible with MAC address on router. Yes Im connected to same wifi.

New lynx l7000 controller, and the app never finds it. Iphone 6 IOS 9.1
